Frequently asked questions
Straight answers to the things NDIS providers usually ask us before getting started — about who we build for, how projects run, and what happens after launch. Can't find what you need? Get in touch and ask us directly.
What is the NDIS Front Door System?
It's our named, packaged way of building an NDIS provider website — one system that covers the build itself, a written accessibility audit report, Google Business Profile and local SEO setup, an NDIS content starter pack, a review-generation toolkit and your first three months of care. We named it because "web design services" can mean almost anything; a system means you know exactly what you're getting, in what order, and what it costs. The full breakdown, piece by piece, is on our pricing page, and what happens after you get in touch walks through the process step by step.
What exactly is the free Front Door Report?
It's a written, plain-English audit of your current website, done by the founder who'd build your new site — not a salesperson reading a script. You get what's working, what's quietly turning families away, the fixes that matter most in order, and exactly what a WebQuest build would look like for your service. It lands within two business days, it's free, and there's no obligation and no follow-up sales script. No website yet? The report becomes a plan for your first one instead. Ask for it on the contact page.
Do you build websites specifically for NDIS registered providers, or any disability support business?
We specialise in websites for the NDIS provider space — support coordinators, therapy practices, support-worker agencies, plan managers and SIL/SDA housing providers. You don't need to be NDIS-registered to work with us; we build for any business operating in or around disability support, registered or not.
We're not NDIS-registered yet, or we're a sole trader — can you still help?
Yes. Plenty of the providers we talk to are sole traders, early-stage businesses, or still working through registration. A good website is often part of getting ready to launch, not something you wait until after registration to think about.
What does "WCAG 2.1 AA" actually mean and why does it matter for an NDIS website?
WCAG 2.1 AA is the internationally recognised standard for web accessibility — it covers things like colour contrast, keyboard navigation, readable text sizing and screen-reader compatibility. For an NDIS website it matters twice over: many of your visitors have disability themselves, and an inaccessible site quietly tells them your service might not be either.
How long does a website usually take to build?
For our standard builds: 14 days. And that's a written pledge, not an estimate — your site goes live within 14 days of us receiving your content, or we keep working, free, until it is. The clock starts when we have your content, because that's the point from which we control the timeline. Larger sites with unusual scope or custom functionality get a realistic timeline in writing before you commit to anything.
What does the 14-day pledge actually cover?
It covers the part we control: once the kick-off is done and we have your content, your site goes live within 14 days — or we keep working at no extra charge until it does, however long that takes. It doesn't penalise you for your own pace: if a feedback round sits with you for a while, we don't count that time against you or quietly void the promise. The pledge is written on our pricing page and applies to every build.
What happens if I walk away after the first design concept?
You pay nothing and you owe us nothing — no deposit kept, no cancellation fee, no hard feelings. We take that risk on deliberately: you're trusting a new studio with your front door, so the risk should sit with us, not you. All we ask is that you tell us plainly why it wasn't right, so we can learn from it.
Why do you only take three new builds a month?
Because every build gets senior attention from start to finish, and that stops being true the moment projects stack up. Three a month is what we can do properly. If the month is already full when you enquire, we'll tell you straight away that you'd be in next month's queue — we'd rather lose a job than string you along. It's capacity honesty, not a sales tactic: there's no countdown timer and no "only one spot left" here.
Do you write the content and copy for us, or do we need to provide it?
Either works. Some providers hand us rough notes and we shape it into clear, plain-language copy; others prefer to write their own and have us edit for tone and clarity. We'll agree upfront who's doing what so there are no surprises partway through.
Can you help us show up on Google when people search for providers in our area?
Yes — every site we build includes the local SEO basics done properly: a correctly set-up Google Business Profile, sensible page titles and descriptions, and pages structured so search engines understand what you offer and where. We won't promise a page-one ranking, because no honest agency can, but we make sure nothing on the technical side is holding you back.
What happens after the site launches — do we need a developer to make changes?
Our sites are hand-built rather than run on a drag-and-drop CMS, so there's no built-in editor for you to log into. Small wording or detail changes (a new phone number, updated hours, a fixed typo) are covered under our care plan — just send us the change and we make it, usually the same day. If you want the ability to edit pages yourself, tell us upfront and we can scope that in as part of the build. For bigger structural changes down the track, you can come back to us or bring in another developer; you're never locked in.
Do you use participants' or clients' names in the website copy?
No, not without explicit, informed consent — and even then, we generally recommend against naming individual participants at all. Testimonials and case studies can be written to reflect real outcomes without identifying anyone, which protects participant privacy and keeps you clear of any confidentiality obligations.
What if we already have a website and just want it improved, not rebuilt?
That's a common starting point. We can audit your existing site, tell you plainly what's working and what isn't — accessibility, speed, clarity, structure — and either improve it in place or rebuild only the parts that need it. A full rebuild isn't always necessary.
Do your prices include hosting and a domain name?
Hosting and domain costs are kept separate from the build price so you always know exactly what you're paying for and can see where every dollar goes. We'll help you set both up and explain the ongoing costs clearly before you commit — see our pricing page for the full breakdown.
